Mentorship Program

Mentorship Program at the Perioperative Care Research Network

The PCRN is dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development through its Mentorship Program.

This program is designed to create meaningful connections between experienced researchers (mentors) and those at earlier stages of their careers, such as graduate students, fellows, medical students, and residents.

By offering guidance in research methodologies, career advancement, and skill development, the program contributes to individual career growth and enhances the overall success of the research community.

The mentorship guidelines emphasize mutual respect, clear communication, and the setting of achievable goals.

They also prioritize inclusivity by ensuring that mentorship opportunities are accessible to individuals from diverse backgrounds, disciplines, and career stages.

Key elements of the program include mentor matching based on research interests, orientation and training sessions for effective communication and goal-setting, regular check-ins to track progress, and networking opportunities.

Mentors provide feedback, share resources, and help mentees develop specific research and professional skills.

The program also recognizes mentors’ contributions and celebrates mentee achievements.

By adhering to these guidelines, the PCRN aims to provide ongoing support, facilitate collaboration, and ensure continuous professional development for all members of the Network.
